Dear friends and partners,
It is with gratitude to God that we inform you that with God’s kindness and your partnership, 3 Timothy has launched!
We really hit the ground running! In September we launched a new partnership with Spring of Life (SOL) Church in Sacramento, which runs a Bible Academy for young men to train them for pastoral ministry. They invited 3 Timothy to train their students in expository preaching. Sean traveled with a former colleague, Doug, and together they led a 3 day workshop on the Book of Jonah. These young men were gripped by the Word of God and were very keen to learn and grow. Lots of stimulating conversation occurred as we prayerfully studied Jonah and how to preach it. One pastor said, “this approach is truly inspiring and wise, and we are excited to partner together in training the next generation of pastors and leaders.” Inspiring and wise? How so? Because 3 Timothy simply aims to continue what was started 2,000 years ago by Paul and Timothy. No new quick fixes, just good, old-fashioned word work with people.
In October, Sean took part in an evangelism conference in Denver and will soon be on his way to Ohio to visit with partners and preach at Trinity PCA in Canton.
In late October Sean will travel to Poland for two weeks for three workshops. First up is developing our Polish leadership team. We will study Titus, discuss coaching and leadership development, and work out the next steps as we continue the three new groups this group has started. Next, Sean will speak at a leadership conference for the Baptist Union of Poland. After that he will travel with Krzysztof to south Poland where they will lead a workshop on 2 Timothy with 20 pastors from the Evangelical Free Church of Poland. In the midst of that he will also preach in Gdansk.
Around the corner…
Later this year Sean hopes to travel to Ukraine and Switzerland. He has not been able to visit our team in Ukraine for some time and is overdue to visit in person. Our aim is to encourage them in the Scriptures, pray, and listen to their stories as they continue to endure a war which, in their words, has touched and hurt everyone. In Switzerland there are 18 church planters who would like to be trained by 3 Timothy and have asked
us to visit in December to meet together and explore a partnership together.
